Michigan_heritage_route

Michigan Heritage Route is a designation for roads in Michigan. The designation was created by the state legislature in 1993.

Scenic Heritage Routes

• M-119 along the Lake Michigan shore on northwest edge of the Lower Peninsula.
• US 41 in the Keweenaw region of the northwestern Upper Peninsula.
• M-123 in the eastern counties of the Upper Peninsula.
• M-22 along the Lake Michigan shore in the northwest of the Lower Peninula.
• M-37 along the Old Mission Peninsula north of Traverse City.

Historic Heritage Routes

• M-125 through Monroe in the southwest of the Lower Peninsula.
• M-25 through Bay City.
• US 2 in Iron County in the western of the Upper Peninsula.
• Marshall Territorial Road (Interstate 94 Business Loop) through Marshall.
• US 12 from New Buffalo to Detroit, which includes the following segments previously designated:
  • US 12 (Michigan Avenue) through Saline.
  • US 12 in Clinton and Clinton Township in Lenawee County, Michigan.

Recreation Heritage Routes

• M-15 from Ortonville in Oakland County, Michigan north to Bay City.
• M-179 (Chief Noonday Trail) from Hastings in Barry County to Bradley in Allegan County.
• M-1 (Woodward Avenue) from downtown Detroit north to downtown Pontiac.
• I-69 from the Indiana state line to the Calhoun-Eaton county line.
• US 23 from Standish to Mackinaw City.
• M-35 from Gladstone in Delta County, Michigan south to Menominee.
